Regina Degnan is a seasoned professional with a strong background in international student services and immigration regulations.

As the Assistant Director of Columbia University's ISSO, Regina advises international students on F-1 and J-1 visa regulations, serving as a Designated School Official (DSO) for F-1 students and an Alternate Responsible Officer (ARO) for J-1 students.

She is also actively involved in the CU's Leap program, facilitating exchanges with Japanese mid-level educators for the past 5 years. This program, supported by the Japanese Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology (MEXT), focuses on English training and academic exchanges at prestigious institutions like Montana State University and Columbia University.

Regina is recognized as an Immigration Roundtable expert for One To World, showcasing her expertise in the field.

Her educational background includes a B.A. in Government with a Business Minor from the University of Notre Dame, specialized studies in international law and government from Georgetown University Law Center in Washington D.C, and a J.D. focused on Immigration and International Law from Seton Hall University School of Law.

Regina has held various key roles in esteemed organizations, including Assistant Director ISSO, Senior International Student Advisor, and International Student Advisor/DSO at Columbia University, demonstrating her commitment to supporting and guiding students in their academic pursuits.

Her diverse professional experience ranges from serving as an Adjunct Professor at Seton Hall University to working as a Foreign Service Officer at the U.S. Department of State and holding roles in international development, environmental assistance, and judicial clerkship.

Regina's broad expertise, coupled with her passion for helping students navigate complex immigration processes, has made her a respected figure in the field of international education.
