As Managing Director, Reginald Tucker is part of the Executive Management Team and works directly with the Chief Investment Officer in a senior role across all public and private asset classes, including: • Investment portfolio strategy and construction • Investment manager due diligence and selection • Investment Committee communications and education Mr. Tucker also has direct oversight over all Private Markets allocations including, Private Equity and Venture Capital, Real Asset and Infrastructure and Real Estate. Mr. Tucker also leads the Unique Strategies asset class that invests in new, niche and opportunistic investments.
Reginald Tucker has deep experience as a Trader, Investor and Allocator across both public and private markets. He previously worked as a Senior Investment Officer for the Absolute Return and Opportunistic Portfolios for the $200+ billion New York State Common Retirement Fund (NYCRF) and invested across Private Equity, Public Credit, Private Credit and Hedge Funds. He has also invested as a seed and anchor investor in bespoke, new and niche investment strategies. Prior to NYCRF, Reginald worked as an Investment Officer across all alternative investments for the $25+ billion Connecticut Retirement Plans and Trust Funds. This included sourcing and managing investments across Private Equity, Venture Capital, Hedge Funds, Real Asset and Real Estate. Mr. Tucker also managed the Emerging Manager portfolios for Private Equity and Venture Capital and establish a new Emerging Manager Hedge Fund allocation.
Reginald Tucker is a Robert Toigo Fellow and holds an MBA in Finance from The Wharton School as well as a Chartered Alternative Investments Analyst (CAIA) certification. In 2013, Reginald was recognized as a Rising Star of Public Plans and also a Toigo Foundation 40 Under 40 in Finance. In 2016, Mr. Tucker was the recipient of an Institutional Investor Intelligence Opportunistic Investments Strategies award and recognized by Institutional Investor as a Hedge Fund Rising Star.
