Ren Bucholz

Ren Bucholz is a seasoned litigator with a diverse practice encompassing high tech, intellectual property, insurance, and professional liability disputes across various legal venues.

With a strong background in digital communication policy, Ren holds a particular interest in cases involving new technology and defamation, representing a wide range of clients from international tech companies to NGOs and individuals.

Ren's experience includes clerking for judges of the Ontario Court of Appeal, publishing articles on intellectual property, and representing NGOs at global technology standards organizations.

His education includes an LL.B. from York University's Osgoode Hall Law School, an MA from York University, and a BS from the University of Colorado Boulder.

Currently, Ren serves as a Lawyer at Paliare Roland Rosenberg Rothstein LLP, having previously held positions at Lenczner Slaght LLP and as a Google Policy Fellow at the Electronic Frontier Foundation.

Ren has also lent his expertise as a Senior Editor at Osgoode Hall Law Journal and as the Assistant Director of International Policy at Electronic Frontier Foundation.
