Rich Meyer is an experienced guide with over 20 years of experience leading expeditions and adventures around the globe.

Rich's expertise includes trekking in Bhutan, skiing hut to hut routes in the Alps, climbing the Grand Teton, guiding in various locations such as High Sierra, Mt. Shasta, Mt. Rainer, Denali, and the volcanoes of Chile & Ecuador.

Rich has extensive experience in ski descents across multiple countries including the lower 48, Alaska, Canada, Argentina, Chile, France, Italy, and Switzerland.

He is often based in California, guiding various routes, ski descents, and offering glacier seminars and avalanche courses.

Rich has received training from reputable institutions such as AIARE, WMI, NOLS, PSIA and the AMGA.

He holds certifications including Wilderness First Responder, AIARE Level I II III, certified avalanche instructor, and American Avalanche Association Professional Member.

Rich is also a NOLS certified Leave No Trace trainer.

He studied at Lake Forest College and is actively involved in organizations like Tahoe Backcountry Alliance and has previously contributed as a Board Member & Ambassador at Winter Wildlands Alliance.
