Earlier this week, I wrote about building a "super résumé" with Tenarch as a pattern for improving our decisions when actively interviewing and hiring.

Hiring well is still a hard problem, but better data leads to better, faster decisions.

It wasn't that long ago that building any new Internet startup meant you had to employ a bunch of people who cared about Infrastructure. I don't just mean servers and racks, but things like three-phase power, the tonnage of air conditioning, and how much diesel you stored in your on-site generators. Infrastructure. Getting a handle on this stuff and the software infrastructure layers above it were vital for controlling scalability and cost. Thankfully most of us have these problems abstracted from us today - but as a result, some of our workloads can be enormously expensive to run in the cloud.

Nowhere is this more true than in blockchain / web3 applications.

I worked with Sean Carey on these lower-level infrastructure problems way back when, so when he told me he was using his expertise and building something new to cut the cost and increase the scalability of blockchain-related apps, I was not the least bit surprised. Even web3 needs Infrastructure.

Really excited for him and the BlockJoy team on their launch.
