For a professional update, today marks my last day at the Justice Institute of British Columbia after nearly eight years at Canada's leading public safety educator.
It's been a valuable, formative and unforgettable experience to support JIBC and many of its public safety programs for those who are committed to keeping communities and organizations safe. I'll always appreciate and value the trust of many colleagues across the institute, the many opportunities to help lay the foundation of the institute's strategic communications and marketing, and be part of a team that is nothing short of a powerhouse of talent, skill and experience with a passion for what they do.
While it's not easy to transition to a new role in another organization (more on that later), if there is anything the pandemic has taught me is that there is no time like the present to grow by actively pursuing one's personal and professional goals. Last year, I started my journey to complete a master’s degree, and I'm excited by the challenges and opportunities I've set in motion for 2022 and beyond. To all my friends and colleagues at JIBC, thank you so much for everything, and my heartfelt best wishes to you all!
