Dr. Richard C Hanzy, PhD, PsyD, LMFT is a dedicated mental health professional with a strong passion for bringing healing to communities and individuals who have experienced trauma and challenging circumstances.

With a diverse educational background including a Doctor of Psychology in Clinical Psychology, a Doctor of Philosophy in Human Services, a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology, a Master of Arts in Theological Studies, a Bachelor's degree in Sociology, and an Associate's degree in Political Science, Dr. Hanzy is well-equipped to address a wide range of mental health and social issues.

He is the Principal Owner of MyFaith Community & Counseling Services and has held various roles in organizations such as UnitedHealth Group -Optum, Lincoln Families, Antioch Police Department, Kaiser Permanente, Los Medanos College, Contra Costa County, John Muir Health, Social Security Administration, Telecare Corporation, Hertz, Boy Scouts of America, and the United States Air Force.

Dr. Hanzy's mission is to build resiliency and success in children, families, individuals, and diverse communities impacted by trauma, poverty, violence, and lack of resources through cultural competent mental health, community advocacy, and family support services.

He believes in connecting, collaborating, and coordinating effective services and resources to empower underserved communities and children to reach their full potential, emphasizing the importance of being a blessing to others and working together to create unbreakable communities.

For leaders, Dr. Hanzy advocates for leading by example and driving positive change in our communities.

His vast professional experience ranges from clinical supervision and counseling to social work, advocacy, and leadership roles, showcasing his versatility and commitment to making a difference in the lives of those he serves.
