Richard Doyle is the Vice President of Development at The Peterson Companies, having joined in 1984 and worked his way up from a Project Manager.

He has been instrumental in bringing major retailers like Target, Walmart, and Whole Foods to Northern Virginia, reshaping the region's commercial landscape.

Richard's responsibilities have also included supporting Federal Government Tenants in the Peterson Portfolio, implementing tenant coordination procedures and a 'good neighbor plan.'

With a total project development cost that exceeds $1.7 billion, Richard has managed multi-story self-storage facility projects in the region and mentored over 20 employees who have advanced in real estate development.

His educational background includes a Masters of Science in Real Estate Development from George Mason University and certifications in Procurement & Contracts Management and Electrical Design & Construction.

Richard's areas of expertise encompass strategic planning, project management, process improvement, mixed-use projects, architecture & design, and facility management.

He is actively involved in various organizations like Youth For Tomorrow, NAIOP-VA, Leadership Fairfax, ICSC, and Urban Land Institute, holding designations like CDP, CRX, and CRRP.
