Richard Wiese is a renowned world-class explorer, journalist, and television host known for his work with The Explorers Club and as the Executive Producer and Host of the Emmy-winning program Born to Explore on ABC and PBS.

During his tenure at The Explorers Club, Richard Wiese developed major partnerships with companies like Rolex, Microsoft, and Discovery, leading to groundbreaking initiatives such as the Global Exploration Summit and the first Diversity and Inclusion program.

As a journalist, he has been honored with numerous awards, including Day-Time Emmy Nominations, a Genesis Award, the Walter Cronkite Award, and the Golden Halo Advertising Award for Best Environmental/Wildlife Campaign.

Richard Wiese's exploration work spans all seven continents, from tagging jaguars in the Yucatan jungles to leading expeditions in Australia, Alaska, Central Park, Mt. Kilimanjaro, and even skiing to the North Pole.

He is an Explorer in Residence at the American Museum of Natural History, has been honored at the Boy Scout National Jamboree, and received awards for his achievements in exploration and journalism.
