Rio Valencerina is an accomplished professional with a diverse background in governance, administration, and advocacy.

Rio holds a Bachelor's degree in Law and Society with a focus on Psychology from the University of Calgary after completing high school at Bishop Grandin High School.

With a strong commitment to student representation, Rio has served as the Manager of Governance and Advocacy at the SAIT Students' Association, previously having been the Coordinator of Governance Administration within the same organization.

Rio's work experience includes roles such as Exam Services Administrator at Athabasca University, Summer Student in Administrative Support at the Government of Alberta, and Speaker at the University of Calgary Students' Union.

Additionally, Rio has professional experience as a Summer Student in Acquisitions and Divestments at Pengrowth Energy Corporation and as a Student Library Assistant at the University of Calgary.
