CEO & Co-Founder Symbionic Tech Pvt. Ltd. - VIT-TBI Incubatee

Rishi Krishna is the CEO and Co-Founder of Symbionic, an assistive technology startup focused on creating affordable, high-quality prosthetic devices for individuals with disabilities. His journey into this field was deeply personal, as he lost his right arm in a bus accident at the age of 24. This life-changing event inspired him to address the lack of accessible prosthetic solutions for millions of amputees globally and led to the founding of Symbionic.

Rishi holds a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Politecnico di Milano and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Jeppiar Engineering College. He is also a Fellow at Stoa School and has prior experience in mechanical engineering, specializing in Solidworks, Abaqus, finite element analysis, and experimental research. Beyond his technical expertise, Rishi is passionate about innovation and leveraging technology to improve lives.

Under his leadership, Symbionic has grown from a small team of engineers and designers into a broader community collaborating with doctors, clinicians, and non-profits. The company emphasizes empathy-driven design, with Rishi often testing prototypes himself to ensure functionality and user satisfaction. Symbionic aims to redefine perceptions of disability by creating solutions that enable amputees to regain independence and confidence.123
