Ritimukta Sarangi is a highly experienced senior scientist at the Stanford Synchrotron Radiation Lightsource (SSRL) at SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory, specializing in the development and application of hard X-ray spectroscopy sciences across the DOE-BES and DOE-BER mission science domains. With 19 years of expertise, she has led various national and international teams in exploring scientific queries related to homogeneous catalytic systems, metalloenzymes, and electrocatalytic transition metal systems, resulting in over 75 scientific peer-reviewed publications. Ritimukta leads diverse independent initiatives at SSRL, focusing on technological advancements in hard X-ray spectroscopy facilities and enhancing user access capabilities, particularly remote-access operations.

Moreover, as a senior member of the Structural Molecular Biology Resource management team, Ritimukta is at the forefront of driving technological innovations and fostering the scientific case for the greenfield upgrade of SSRL over a projected 10-year timeline. She also plays a pivotal role as a key advisor to SSRL and SLAC leadership, steering efforts to shape the strategic vision of SSRL's future evolution. In addition, she leads the biological and environmental sciences user research at SSRL, championing a DOE-BER outreach program that has significantly expanded the scope of relevant science portfolios at SSRL through targeted collaborations, training initiatives, and knowledge dissemination activities.
