What an amazing way to start my week! Just had a great visit to Vow with the indefatigable George Peppou. Seems to me that the Future Made in Australia program is aiming to see businesses like this emerge and flourish.
A few things that stand out: -Vow is expressly not competing with farmers - they’re making new meat from different sources (‘sauces’?) -in just 5 years, Vow has grown from R&D to manufacturing and has had food served in fine dining restaurants, so looks like a future Aussie success story and an example of what made in Australia can look like -the company has lots of home grown talent and IP tho doesn’t shy away from investing in world class talent in targeted areas to build local capabilities.
Thanks George & good luck!
