Rob Kaplan

Rob Kaplan is currently the Vice Chairman of Goldman Sachs and a member of the Management Committee.34 He rejoined Goldman Sachs in this role on May 7, 2024.4 Previously, Kaplan served as the President and CEO of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas from 2015 to 2021.125

Kaplan has a long history with Goldman Sachs, having initially joined the firm in 1983 and becoming a partner in 1990.23 He held various leadership positions at Goldman Sachs, including Global Co-Head of Investment Banking and member of the Management Committee.3

In addition to his corporate roles, Kaplan is active in philanthropy. He is the co-chairman of the Draper Richards Kaplan Foundation, a global venture philanthropy firm.4 He has also authored three books on leadership.13

Kaplan received his bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Kansas and his MBA from Harvard Business School.12 He is based in Dallas, Texas.12
