Highlights
A few weeks ago was my last day at Fivetran. The overall sentiment I felt as I was leaving and as I continue to reflect is gratitude for the last 4.5 years and the people I met. I could've landed anywhere when I stopped playing hockey and somehow I ended up at one of most promising companies in all of tech and got to be part of an incredible growth story. There are a few people in particular I want to thank. First of all Taylor Brown for his leadership, positivity, and friendship - and for taking a chance on a washed up hockey player. You created an awesome company and culture that we all were proud to be a part of every single day. The same goes for Todd Ritter who made sure I never felt too comfortable telling me "you weren't a sure hire" every time you could 😂 - thanks for keeping me honest, giving me a shot, and for being a great leader and now friend.
There were also some people who really took me under their wing and showed me what great looked like - Logan Conway and Jonathan Roberts in particular. Can't thank you guys enough for your guidance and friendship.
Finally, I also want to thank my managers and leaders who each caught me at a different stage of my journey and helped me along the way - Andrew Sutherland, Brandon "Gus" Compher, Brandon Hales, Shane McCloskey (you taught me the line between competency and incompetency is a fine line), Rachel Musiker, and Cody Gumz.
To all my colleagues, teammates, and friends (shoutout the FAM), thanks for making Fivetran such a special place to work. 💙
Very excited for my next chapter which is right around the corner!
