You have a 50% chance of winning the deal.

That is, if you got the demo through an inbound motion.

If you got it through outbound? You only have a 20% chance.

But here is the big problem... most Founders are still losing those deals.

The prospect looks at everything, nods their head, and then... nothing.

They ghost you.

They go with a competitor.

Or worse... they stay with their current "broken" solution even though yours is 10x better.

So what went wrong?

Most Founders break the Number 1 rule of GTM: They jump straight to execution (the demo) without a proper strategy.

I learned this the hard way while building ToutApp and later as SVP of Strategy at Marketo.

You don't win deals by showing off every "backflip" your software can do.

You win by personalizing the journey based on the answers they give you.

In today’s Unstoppable Sunday episode, I am breaking down the 3-Part Sales Demo Framework I use to blow prospects' minds and compel them to take the next step.

I’m digging into:

• The "Question" Phase: Why you must spend the first 1/3 of the call on Discovery to gather the ammunition you need to win.

• The "Aha" Loop: How to structure the actual demo around the ultimate result so they can taste success.

• The Momentum Builder: Why you must allocate 10 full minutes to "Next Steps" to uncover hidden objections before they kill the deal.

(And when you implement this framework in your SaaS and AI business, you’ll be able to accelerate your path to the next stage of growth.)

I know it feels risky to stop "selling" and start asking questions.

But if a prospect isn't willing to answer 3 simple questions to tailor the demo, they aren't your Ideal Customer Profile... and you're better off letting them go.

Simple SaaS products that just "track data" are dead.

If you are still building a basic database wrapper in 2026, you are competing in a graveyard. The real money has shifted to SaaS Agents—intelligent tools that don’t just show data, but actually access it and do parts of the job for you.

I was reflecting on this shift while thinking back to my own journey. I founded ToutApp (backed by a16z), where we pioneered the Sales Engagement category. At the time we started, people didn't think that Salespeople and Sales Leaders would pay for software beyond CRM. They were wrong.

We eventually sold ToutApp to Marketo. I then joined as VP of Strategy, where I helped lead a two-year transformation that culminated in the sale of Marketo to Adobe for $4.75 billion.

I would bet on that sales ICP all over again today. The biggest question I get from founders is: "What agents should I build so my customers don't just 'vibe code' them themselves?"

The answer lies in targeting Mid-Market Account Executives.

These are people who:

  • Deal with a high volume of deals and long ramp times.

  • Operate in a "churn and burn" culture where they are looking for any edge to win.

  • Have the budget and motivation to pay for tools that increase their commission.

In today’s Unstoppable Sunday episode, I’m giving away 5 specific SaaS Agent ideas you can build and start selling this week.

I’m breaking down the "Who, Why, and What" for:

  1. The Similar ICP Agent: Finds new deals based on the data from your last 10 "Won" deals.

  2. The Serious vs. Tire-Kicker Agent: A lie-detector for discovery calls so you stop wasting time on the wrong leads.

  3. The Objection & Negotiation Agent: Specially trained to navigate the hurdles that kill deal cycles.

  4. The Expansion & Referral Agent: Automatically identifies the next upsell or referral opportunity.

  5. The Nurture Agent: Because lost deals always come back if you stay top-of-mind.

I’m giving these away because I’m committed to my coaching and advisory business, Unstoppable. I’d rather see YOU build these, win, and then work with me inside my GTM Launch program to scale them.

Stop building "tracking" apps. Start building agents that deliver results.
