Highlights
“It can be very scary and daunting to just pull a company out of thin air, especially when you’re a student,” said SHI Venture Development Program fellow Rod Bravo, who helps mentor each team. “Having a sense of belonging and structure that we have been building here allows us to appropriately support global health venture creation.”
Following up from my post yesterday - What is the role of the academic institution in creating creators? I love being part of the movement redefining how schools can support their students in venture creation. There's a lot of knowledge to be had outside of the classroom. Thanks so much Fareed Salmon for this feature in the Yale Daily News!
Check out this recent feature highlighting my work as a Fellow for the Sustainable Health Initiative Venture Development Program at Yale University! I am thrilled to have mentored a number of startups born through the Yale Institute for Global Health. Congratulations to Upkeep Care and their founder Blake Robertson, one of my mentee teams, for winning the Thorne Prize at Startup Yale! It has been a pleasure to work alongside my colleagues Lucas Lu and Fatema Basrai, MBA and the rest of Yale's venture arm Tsai Center for Innovative Thinking at Yale (Tsai CITY) to create entrepreneurial programming for medicine & global health-minded founders. #SustainableHealth #Entrepreneurship #GlobalHealth #StartupYale #VentureDevelopment
