Dr. Roda Plakogiannis is an accomplished pharmacy professional with a wealth of experience in academia and clinical practice.

She is an Associate Professor of Pharmacy Practice at the Arnold & Marie Schwartz College of Pharmacy, where she has been serving since 2002.

Dr. Plakogiannis holds a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the Arnold & Marie Schwartz College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences.

Her expertise includes specialization in primary care pharmacy through an ASHP-accredited residency at the Bay Pines Veterans Medical Center.

She is recognized as a Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist and a Diplomate and Fellow of the Accreditation Council for Clinical Lipidology, as well as a Board Certified Clinical Lipid Specialist.

Actively involved in professional organizations, Dr. Plakogiannis is a distinguished member of the Northeastern Lipid Association's Board of Directors and the Accreditation Council for Clinical Lipidology's Board of Governors.

She also contributes to the advancement of pharmacy practice as the Adverse Drug Reactions Section Editor for the Journal of Pharmacy Practice.

Dr. Plakogiannis is a prolific author in her field, with numerous publications and contributions to chapters in pharmacy-related literature.

Her clinical practice at Murray Hill Medical Group and NYU Langone Medical Center focuses on managing conditions such as hyperlipidemia, hypertension, anticoagulation, and heart failure.

In her role, she evaluates and solves medication-related problems, ensuring safe and cost-effective treatment for ambulatory patients by identifying drug interactions, adverse effects, and barriers to adherence.
