I am thrilled to announce the first recipient of Breakthrough Energy Catalyst program funding: LanzaJet’s Freedom Pines Fuels plant in Soperton, GA. The sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) plant will be the first in the world to produce alcohol-to-jet SAF, which has the potential to lower emissions by at least 70% compared to fossil jet fuel. The Catalyst grant is made possible by our extensive network of partners who are committed to accelerating the development of the solutions we need to achieve a zero-carbon economy.
