Music has been a passion of mine since discovering MTV (aging myself, surely). Consuming music and all related activities have brought me real joy in life, whether noodling on a guitar or annoying anyone who travels with me as I insist on stopping by the closest record store. It made too much sense to end my business school journey with a deep dive on the industry, and I'm thrilled to have conducted an independent study on the live entertainment space with fellow music lover Brian Ringel.
Within all things 'live', we selected to focus on venue economics and dynamics, seeking to uncover how strategies for clubs and arenas alike have evolved in the post-pandemic landscape, what macro and micro factors have contributed to the current climate, and how nascent technology trends (yes, including AI) are shaping the future of the industry.
