Roger Martin is a seasoned journalist and public relations executive with over 30 years of experience in Michigan.

Graduated with a journalism degree from Michigan State University in 1981, Roger later taught at the same institution for around a decade.

During his tenure as a reporter and political bureau chief at The Detroit News, Roger garnered numerous awards, including being named Michigan's Best Reporter in 1986 and receiving Pulitzer Prize nominations.

Co-authored the book "The Journey of John Engler" in 1990.

In 1991, Roger transitioned to become the president of the Lansing-based public relations agency Rossman Martin & Associates, before founding Martin Waymire in collaboration with David Waymire in 2004.

Roger's exceptional work in the field of public relations has been acknowledged through multiple regional and national awards, with his campaigns winning prestigious accolades such as Silver Anvils and "Best of Show" titles.

His expertise lies in various aspects of PR including issue management, media relations, crisis communications, community relations, public policy, ballot campaign management, and more, focusing on areas like health care, tax policy, casino gaming, local government issues, and the state legislature and governor.

Throughout his career, Roger Martin has upheld a reputation for integrity, quality, and strategic prowess in communication.

Currently serves as the owner of Martin Waymire, after holding leadership positions at Rossman Martin & Associates and The Detroit News.
