Highlights
Five reasons your content isn't generating leads.
Quick background:
I've helped 25+ business owners launch their LinkedIn presence.
I created their content strategy, production, and distribution to generate demand for their products and services.
I’ve also had countless conversations with founders and marketers grappling with slow growth from ads, cold outbound, and ineffective content.
From these convos, I’ve identified 5 key problems most companies face when it comes to winning with content on LinkedIn.
Fix these, and you’ll see a boost in high-quality leads:
Problem 1: No one knows you exist.
It’s simple:
No audience → No traffic → No leads.
Many founders see competitors with an "inferior product" thriving on LinkedIn and capturing market share. But, they lack their own presence.
No matter how great your product...without awareness, there is no demand.
Problem 2: Cold Outreach Is Losing Its Edge
Every week, I hear from founders and marketing leaders about the increasing difficulty of getting replies to cold emails and LinkedIn messages.
I know my inbox is a dumpster fire of outbound pitches, most of which I ignore—unless they’re from someone I already know.
(More on building trust through content in upcoming posts)
Problem 3: You don’t have time to create content
Founders are busy.
• Sales. • Recruiting. • Operations.
As your company grows, your calendar and demands for your time fill up... fast!
I used to wonder why founders didn’t take content more seriously — until I started my agency and experienced it firsthand.
The truth is content matters, but urgent tasks often take precedence.
Especially in the early days when founders haven’t experienced the ‘aha moment’ of content driving a flood of demand.
Problem 4: Your Content doesn’t provide differentiated value
Many founders are already posting on LinkedIn. But aren’t getting any traction.
They work tirelessly, posting daily and trading engagements in their WhatsApp groups.
But it doesn’t translate to leads and sales conversations.
The reason? Their content doesn’t answer the simple question: “How does this content help my target audience”
Without a clear answer, content falls flat, and pipeline stays empty.
We need to break free from generic, or worse, AI-generated content, and I’m on a mission to make that happen.
Problem 5: Chasing the Wrong Metrics
Some founders have built an audience, but it’s not converting. They focused on vanity metrics—like follower count—at the expense of real results: customers.
This often happens with many “ghostwriting” agencies that promise “10K followers in 90 days.”
Stay away!
If you want fame, optimize for vanity metrics.
But if your goal is an engaged audience ready to buy your product, focus on connection and conversion.
A successful content strategy drives attention & fills the room, AND effectively converts that demand into leads and customers.
Here’s the exact framework to craft 5 pieces of LinkedIn content every week:
I use this process with our clients (6 & 7-figure business owners) to help them drive 25K+ impressions per week.
- Prepare 7-10 content prompts based on topics proven to perform well on LinkedIn, specifically for their Ideal Client Profile (ICP).
We’ll balance between:
• Top of Funnel (Attract): Covers widely applicable answers to overarching questions like "How do I get in shape?" or "How can I start a business?"
• Mid-Funnel (Connect): Industry-specific thought leadership with a personal take targeted to their ICP.
• Bottom of Funnel (Convert): Provides specific insights on focused topics such as "How do I hire and onboard a LinkedIn ghostwriter?" or "How do I position myself as a leader in my market?"
- Get the CEO on a 45-minute zoom where we run through these 7-10 prompts in a conversational format. Think of it like a podcast that isn’t getting published anywhere.
Should feel casual to the CEO, but the prompts give us the structure to extract relevant content.
- The transcript from that zoom call serves as the source material for their LinkedIn posts.
Each of these prompts nets at least 1 new post.
I then guide the CEO or their team with specific examples, frameworks, templates, and images to craft 5 posts per week with optimized hooks, proven content formats, and effective CTAs to succeed on LinkedIn.
PS: If you'd like a copy of the LinkedIn Content Prompts, comment 'Prompts' below, and I'll send them over!
