Dear Linkedin community.
Today Russia/Putin invaded my home country Ukraine with full military strength in so-called "military operation."
We are shocked. We are devastated. We feel vulnerable and betrayed. We cannot believe this can happen in 2022.
💛Many people have been asking me how they can help.
Listen. Ukrainians are strong. Our army holds the line and bites back, defending our land. Actually, serving as a shield for the rest of Europe.
However, it is up to politicians of the United World to stop Putin's aggression before it's too late. They have to act now. Immediately. Economically, politically, militarily.
The only way to stop Putin is to create as much economic, political, and social strain inside the Russian Federation as possible.
These are the sanction being discussed:
📍Stop SWIFT operations in and from Russia.
📍Imply travel ban of Russian citizens to as many countries as possible.
📍Block Russia from the global financial system and trading.
📍Isolate Russia politically and physically.
📍Be ready to respond to the aggression with military actions.
Unfortunately, there's no unity among the EU leaders, and some of them still keep a preserved position. Delaying actions can destroy Ukraine, its independence, and its infrastructure. And if you think it will stop there, think again. Putin is obsessed with power and feels very insecure at the same time. His ambition is to wake the USSR from dead and become a threat to the entire world.
If you DON'T WANT this to happen, spread this message. Put pressure on your governments and make them act immediately.
🧐 For those in doubt or not aware of how it came to what's happening, here's a short explanation.
For the last 30 years, since independence and the USSR collapse, Ukrainians have been building their new country, trying to get rid of the Soviet legacy its poverty, dictatorship, limitation of civil rights, and freedom. At the same time, with Putin in the lead, Russia has become the embodiment of all those things.
That's why in 2013 Ukraine chose the EU direction and overthrew a puppet dictator controlled by Putin.
In response to his loss of influence in Ukraine, Putin started a hybrid war in Donetsk and Luhansk.
Only in resistance to this aggression have Ukrainians decided to take a course on joining NATO to ensure its security and return of the occupied territories. This was a forced measure for protecting our land and our choice of ruling it. We didn't provoke Russia. We wanted it to leave us alone. And then it started.
