We’re hiring again! We need a part time staff accountant. Someone who can devote up to 20 hours a week. But the role could grow into a full time position. This is a unique opportunity for a junior person to get broad exposure to a number of high-growth clients. Not just accounting work, but the whole finance and accounting stack. This is a remote position and the candidate will have significant flexibility around when and where he or she works. But we need someone who can reliably deliver on sometimes very tight deadlines. Responsibilities include: -Set up new customer accounts and process invoices -Monitor accounts receivable/collections -Set up new vendors including W9 verification and pay vendor invoices -Initiate payments to vendors -Prepare financial reports -Assist with the monthly close (Preparing and posting various journal entries, preparing monthly account reconciliations, etc.) -Prepare information for audits, diligence requests, etc.
Qualifications: -Basic accounting skills -Strong detail orientation -Proactive problem solver -Self-motivated -Strong spreadsheet skills -Ability to work independently and deliver on deadline
