After a rewarding journey across prominent legal firms and innovative AI organizations, I am currently seeking new challenges. With over 12 years of experience in the realms of AI regulation, privacy, and data governance, I am eager to contribute my expertise to an organization that values robust legal insight combined with a strategic understanding of digital technologies (especially AI), technology policy and government affairs.
My career has included significant roles at enterprise-focused AI scale-ups, top-tier Canadian law firms, and global policy forums. I've had the privilege of shaping major international AI legislative frameworks and driving forward-thinking policies on privacy and data protection. Whether it's leading negotiations surrounding AI codes of conduct, crafting policies on responsible model releases, or advising on regulatory issues, I bring a multidisciplinary perspective that intersects law, technology, and business.
If your team needs someone who can navigate the complexities of the global AI regulatory landscape, understands the implications AI has on privacy and cybersecurity, and can develop risk-mitigation tech-policy strategies required to ensure AI adoption is responsible and trustworthy, let's connect!

Today, I had the honour of representing Cohere at the #g7 meeting in Rome where the G7 Digital and Technology Working Group was handed over from the Japanese to the Italian Presidency and where Cohere joined the Campaign of Adhesion for the #hiroshimaAI G7 International Code of Conduct (https://lnkd.in/gtA3_KKK). As a leading global enterprise-focused-generative AI company, Cohere is, and has been, committed to the development of safe, secure and trustworthy AI. In addition to committing to the G7 International Code of Conduct today, Cohere is the only foundation model developer to have signed both the #WhiteHouse’s VoluntaryAICommitments and #canada #ISED's Voluntary Code of Conduct on the Responsible Development and Management of Advanced Generative AI Systems. The G7 International Code of Conduct represents a risk-and principle-based approach that provides global organizations like Cohere’s with practical ways to develop AI based on common internationally recognized principles and guidelines. Looking to 2024, we look forward to working with the #G7 Italian Presidency and other G7 members as well as other multilateral initiatives to ensure that as a comprehensive global AI policy starts taking shape, it continues to ensure a risk-and principles based approach that is grounded accountability, interoperability and inclusion. In addition, such a global AI policy approach should inspire cross-border collaboration, foster innovation and a robust marketplace of ideas and business models. Finally, it should be flexible and contextual, taking into consideration the responsibilities of the actors in the ecosystem and differences in deployment (e.g., B2B versus B2C).
