Ron MacNeil is a seasoned Professional Engineer with over 35 years of experience in electrical and telecommunications engineering, having worked with esteemed Atlantic Canadian companies, the Government of Canada, and the advanced learning sector.

Throughout his career, Ron MacNeil has held significant roles, including Vice President, Engineering at Techlink Entertainment, where he orchestrated the Responsible Gambling Field Trial in Windsor, Nova Scotia, laying the foundation for the 'Nova Scotia Model' of Responsible Gambling. He presently represents Techlink Entertainment on the Board of Directors of the Gaming Standards Association.

Ron has been an active member of various technological management and advisory boards at regional and national levels, showcasing his expertise in advancing applied technology research and commercialization. His influence extends to program development supporting the technology industry, shaping public policy, and designing and delivering courses for educational institutions and industries.

Recognized for his contributions, Ron MacNeil has received prestigious accolades such as the Commemorative Medal: 125th Anniversary of the Confederation of Canada in 1992 and the National IWAY Award for Community Service in 1999. His expertise as one of Canada's leading experts was acknowledged in 'Canada Connects', a Smart Communities magazine in December 2003.

Ron's specialties encompass advanced technology research, technology innovation, and technology commercialization. He pursued Business Administration, Management, and Accounting at Cape Breton University and Electrical Engineering at Dalhousie University.

His impressive career saw him in roles like Senior Engineer at Techlink Entertainment, President at ABarraTech Incorporated, Director of Technology Innovation Centre at Cape Breton University, and Technology Advisor at Enterprise Cape Breton Corporation. Furthermore, he has also shared his knowledge as an Instructor in Technology at Cape Breton University.
