Grateful to be working with Peter of uncommon.org in bringing tech education to the massively unemployed young adults of Zimbabwe. This will allow them to earn a significant income in the international job market and change their bleak outlook to a brave and exciting new future. On the 25th anniversary of the release of the Rapid City F1200 I thought I would power serial #1 up on my home network and see if it still ran. Yep, works fine, last a long time. Sidenote: Not all things are subject to inflation. According to my copy of EE Times 1997, list was $3,500 per 1G port. Today, a managed switch on Amazon nets out to about $5. #rapidcity
