I've now bid farewell to Paramount and the greater media industry after nearly 20 years 😱 I will be truly embracing my much-loved mission statement... helping socially focused enterprises with strong ethical commitments build potent brands, passionate tribes, and powerful partnerships. For my inaugural post-Paramount venture, I’ll be joining my dear friend Conrad at Café Techo Verde. Helping with brand, marketing, and fundraising. MUCH more than just extraordinary, mountain-grown, Peruvian cloud forest coffee—unlike ANYTHING else on the planet—Techo Verde has cultivated an eco- and people-friendly coffee farming community. Our community is helping to keep their portion of the Amazon pesticide-, plastic-, and pollutant-free while supporting small-scale farmers to reach direct to global consumers with their single source, single-bean, Arabica coffee. This effort is helping farmers TRIUMPH against deforestation by mining companies, and evade exploitation by coffee distributors. Thus, helping to preserve family and community structures, traditions, and a subsistence way of life... High up in the heart of an Andean mountain range, this coffee is nurtured in untouched soil in the Chilchos Valley, far from the nearest town—an arduous 12-hour trek by foot. No roads, no machinery, no pesticides here. Just pure, natural coffee, hand-picked by farmers —who have stood tall against illegal deforestation. The beans are transported on the backs of beloved family horses to the small town of Leimebamba where they begin a voyage to the UK for roasting and delivery to your door, in sustainable, compostable packaging. At this point you will encounter the purest, most rewarding coffee experience... I am putting my money where my mouth is, helping to fund an innovative Hydro-generator that will alleviate labour intensity, improve health and family conditions, and make coffee farming more fruitful for the local farmers and more accessible to a global market. On top of this, I am travelling to Peru to help build it!
