Professor of Trombone at Wichita State University

Russ Widener is a distinguished musician and educator with a strong background in music theory and trombone performance.

He studied BM in Music Theory at Baylor University, pursued a Master's Degree in Trombone at The Catholic University of America, and also studied at Baylor University, Catholic University, and Indiana University.

Currently, Russ Widener serves as the Director of the School of Music and Professor of Trombone at Wichita State University, where he imparts his expertise and passion for music to his students.

Prior to his role at Wichita State University, Russ Widener showcased his talent as a Bass Trombonist at the Music Theatre of Wichita.
