Russell Gaskins is a seasoned music professional with over 20 years of experience in the industry. Starting his musical journey with guitar lessons at 10 and playing the trombone in his middle school band, he has since achieved significant milestones in his career.

Throughout his career, Russell has had remarkable experiences like hearing his song on the radio, performing at large venues, signing a record deal, and joining the A&R team at a major label. These experiences have solidified his position in the music scene, where he now imparts his knowledge to the next generation of music enthusiasts.

Even after two decades in the music business, Russell continues to be challenged and embraces learning opportunities daily. He collaborates with songwriters, artists, and new technologies to innovate and support both emerging talents and established artists.

Working as the Vice President of International Repertoire Research & Marketing/A&R at BMG - The New Music Company, Russell plays a crucial role in various aspects of the music business. His responsibilities include sync/brand marketing, digital initiatives, and talent scouting across different music genres.

Having studied Marketing and Business Management at De Anza College, Russell has a solid educational background that complements his extensive practical experience in the industry.
