Regional Accountability to Affected Population Consultant at United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees

Ruwaydah Wangara is a dedicated humanitarian worker with extensive experience in project management, strategic planning, and training. She specializes in gender mainstreaming, accountability mainstreaming, community development, and community-driven programming with a strong focus on research. Ruwaydah holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and Anthropology with Information Technology from Maseno University.

She has held key roles at various prominent organizations such as the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees as a Regional Accountability to Affected Population Consultant, the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies as a Senior Officer for Community Engagement and Accountability, and as a Planning and Accountability Officer. Additionally, Ruwaydah has worked as a Program Quality and Learning Coordinator at Care International in Kenya, an Accountability and Community Mobilization Officer at CARE International in Jordan for the Syria Response, and as a Senior Monitoring and Evaluation Officer in an acting capacity at CARE. Her experience also includes the role of an Accountability Officer at CARE.
