The collective outpouring of support after my stroke was miraculous. Knowing that so many of you, from various corners of my life, rallied for my well-being, fills me with hope and strengthens my resolve to overcome this challenge. I used to operate with a deep-seated almost religious belief that I should able to handle everything independently by myself. It turns out, my community saved my life.

So this goes out to everyone who in any way contributed toward my recovery. Your compassion has not only eased the burdens of medical expenses, but has also uplifted my spirits during moments of uncertainty. It has reminded me of the incredible bonds we share and the beauty of community in times of need. From the bottom of my heart, I thank each one of you. You will probably never know how much it meant to us, but we know, and we will never forget.
