Highlights
“'You work at Twitter? That must be a cool place to work!' This is how many personal and professional interactions began during my 10.5 years at the company.” Like any job, some of those times were better than others, but it indeed was a great place to work. I am deeply grateful for my time leading an exceptional team across the US & Canada. The organization’s talent in solving strategic and creative challenges for the world’s biggest brands was unparalleled, and my experience was both rewarding and memorable. Leaving in mid-August was a tough decision, but I carry with me invaluable lessons and lasting friendships.
I want to extend my gratitude to every team member for their valuable contributions; working with each of you was an honor. I want to particularly thank a few individuals who were instrumental in the ride from start to finish. To Alex Josephson for always giving me freedom to run and providing support at any time it was needed. To Robin Partenheimer Wheeler for being a great sounding board and friend (even when we butted heads!). To Aly Baer, Bobby Grasberger, Tom Chirico, and Jamie Michaels . . . in the interest of brevity, I’m going to refrain from profusely thanking you and sharing the wonderful ways you enriched my experience. Any leader would be lucky to have one person close to them with the talent and kindness possessed by each of you. What a gift it was to work so closely with each of you every day.
As I look back, I'm proud of the contribution the USCAN team made to the platform’s growth, and I remain optimistic about its future. I wish everyone at X success in helping the platform reach its potential.
I feel fortunate I’m in the position to take a bit of a break, and so far it has been wonderful. I am not putting a timeline on what’s next, but will provide updates when the time comes. Thank you.
Since 1984, Atlantans have gathered to raise both awareness and critical funds for local hunger relief by walking together in the City. The Hunger Walk is one of the Atlanta Community Food Bank’s biggest fundraisers … and it’s also a really fun event! I love it because it’s full of great energy and makes a big difference in our community.
This year, the Board formed a team - “The Boardwalkers,” and those who could make the event had a great time together. I’ve loved getting to know such a great group of Atlanta leaders who believe in helping their community.
Have to give a special thanks to all of the generous donors. Thank you so much for supporting the event, our team, and ACFB! #hwr2023
