Ryan Welch is a Partner at Forbes Tate Partners (FTP), a government relations and public affairs firm. Before joining FTP, Welch served as a Legislative Correspondent, Legislative Assistant, and Legislative Director for U.S. Senator Richard Shelby (R-AL) from 2002 to 2007. He worked on domestic appropriations and key legislation such as the Energy Policy Act of 2005 and the Gulf of Mexico Energy Security Act of 2006. Welch has also been active in Republican Party campaigns at both state and national levels.1

A native of Wetumpka, Alabama, Welch holds a degree in political science from Auburn University. He currently resides in Alexandria, Virginia, with his dog.1
