S. Gabriela Gavrila is a higher education researcher, instructor, practitioner, and enthusiast. She holds a Master's degree in Public and International Affairs from the University of Pittsburgh Graduate School of Public and International Affairs (GSPIA), a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) from Occidental College, and is currently pursuing a PhD at Stanford University Graduate School of Education.

Her professional experience includes roles such as a Research Assistant at Stanford EdCareers, Teaching Assistant/Instructor at Stanford University, Program Officer (Chevening) at The Association of Commonwealth Universities, Project and Policy Analyst at UC Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism, and Graduate Assistant at the Center for Metropolitan Studies at the University of Pittsburgh. She has also worked as a Consular Officer at the Consulate General of Romania and interned at the United Nations in the Department of Political Affairs and The Chicago Council on Global Affairs in the Public and Leadership Programs. Additionally, she served as a Student Assistant in Alumni Relations at Occidental College.
