Sa-kiera "Kiera" Hudson is an Assistant Professor at the University of California Berkeley Haas School of Business in the Management of Organizations (MORS) group.23 She studies how hierarchies are formed, maintained, and how they intersect.34 Her research examines the role of empathic and spiteful emotions, group stereotypes, and motivated reasoning in justifying unequal societal conditions.23

Hudson completed a Ph.D. in Social Psychology from Harvard University in 2020.2 Prior to her Ph.D., she earned a BA in Biology and Psychology from Williams College.23 After college, she was a lab manager for Dr. Jenessa Shapiro in the Social Interaction and Social Stigma Lab at UCLA.23 She also completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Yale University working with Dr. Jennifer Richeson and Dr. Michael Kraus.23 She was a Postdoctoral Associate at Yale University from May 2020 to July 2022.1
