Check out the latest episode of Last Week Tonight with John Oliver on HBO Max, where he shines a light on the systemic challenges faced by Hawai'i and Native Hawaiians. The focus on grassroots organizations and community-driven movements in Hawai'i is more crucial than ever. The work Hawaiʻi People's Fund does is funds, amplifies, and supports the powerful grassroots work of our grantees across the islands. It’s powerful to see national platforms amplify the voices and movements that deserve more attention. 🙌🏽 #HawaiianVoices #Grassroots #CommunityPower #HawaiisPeople
Did you know there’s a thriving tech ecosystem in Hawai’i? Recently attended an event by ThriveHI that brought together Hawai'i’s tech community. Grateful to Trung Lam from Farm Link Hawai‘i and Johnny Chankhamany from Builders VC for fostering this space uniting global tech leaders from large tech companies, local entrepreneurs, VCs, investors, and more. It's inspiring to see Hawai’i evolve into a hub for innovation alongside my fellow Native Hawaiian in tech Evan Naiʻaomana Castro from Shifted Energy. Excited to keep growing this vibrant community together! Mahalo to everyone making waves in tech right here in Hawai’i, as a hybrid living techie! 🚀🌊 #ThriveHI #TechInHawaii #Community
