Sally Newman is a seasoned legal professional with expertise in environmental, criminal, civil rights, and nonprofit law, as well as social justice and organizing.

Sally's education includes a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from New York University School of Law and a B.A. in Economics and Environmental Studies from Dartmouth College.

Throughout her career, Sally has been involved in various organizations, including serving as the Founder and Legal Director at Charleston Legal Access and the Founder and Director at Holy City Cirque.

Her experience also includes clerking at the U.S. Federal Courts for judges such as the Honorable Richard M. Gergel and the Honorable Harry T. Edwards.

Sally has worked as an Associate Attorney at the Southern Environmental Law Center and has been a board member of organizations like The Human Impacts Institute and Hollaback!.
