Sam Bowstead is a dedicated architect and design advocate with a profound interest in using design principles to enhance the built environment and address climate change challenges.

Currently serving as an Associate at JDA Co, with a specialization in architectural solutions for climate change, Sam has actively contributed to the firm's climate adaptation initiatives from their inception.

Sam's academic journey includes pursuing a Master of Architecture from The University of Queensland, studying at the University of British Columbia, a summer program at the University of California, Berkeley, and completing a Bachelor of Architectural Design at both The University of Queensland and Technische Universität Berlin.

Beyond his professional roles, Sam has engaged in research and teaching positions at prestigious institutions such as The University of Queensland, Griffith, QUT, Washington, and Columbia Universities.

During his tenure in New York, Sam excelled as the Senior Designer at Co Adaptive Architecture, where he led the design and construction of NYC's pioneering commercial mass-timber building.

Sam Bowstead's advocacy extends beyond architecture to include workshops on design thinking and facilitation in various countries worldwide, a testament to his global impact.
