Sam Greene

Sam Greene is a senior researcher at the International Institute for Environment and Development (IIED), specializing in Climate Governance and Finance.

His research primarily involves developing tools and capacities for climate-resilient development at the sub-national level in the Least Developed Countries and among climate-vulnerable communities.

Sam's focus includes establishing devolved climate financing mechanisms to ensure accountable and effective fund allocation at local government levels.

He also works on gender-sensitive and climate-responsive planning tools, exploring the role of digital technologies in facilitating adaptation efforts.

In addition to his research, Sam chairs the programming group for the International Community Based Adaptation to Climate Change Series, fostering collaboration among climate adaptation practitioners.
