Sam Jones is a seasoned ornithologist and ecologist with a strong focus on the behavior and physiology of tropical forest birds.

With a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Biological Sciences from Royal Holloway, University of London, an MSc. DIC. in Conservation Science from Imperial College London, and a BSc in Geography from the University of Plymouth, Sam has a solid academic background.

His passion for field research is evident through his involvement in various biological assessment expeditions across remote regions of the new and old world tropics, particularly studying highly threatened and poorly known birds.

Sam's expertise in ornithology has led to affiliations with prestigious organizations such as Royal Holloway, University of London, Operation Wallacea, University of Oxford, Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute, and many others.

He is dedicated to sharing his knowledge and research findings with a broader audience through public speaking, writing, and radio appearances. Noteworthy works include 'Bush-crow diaries' in Scientific American and appearances on BBC Radio 4's 'Shared Planet.'
