Resume basics!
Tweak your resume for the job you want to be considered or referred to. Following is a sample conversation from inbox, which is quite often.
Job Seeker: Hi! Can you consider/refer me for position P?
Sambhav: Hi! I took a look at your resume. You are missing relevant experience with technology T which is a requirement for this role.
Job Seeker: I do have experience with T. I have worked for Y years with T.
Sambhav: Okay, but not even once in your entire resume, you have mentioned T. No problem, but nowhere in the entire resume, the description of work done mentions working in similar area or solving similar problems. How do you expect me to consider your candidature?
Now, if you go back, edit your resume, add T in your resume, where is the credibility in this?

🤗 I joined Booking.com majorly because of "you"
I have a fascinating incident to share. I had a colleague whom I interviewed invite me for a 1:1. He had some feedback.
" I joined Booking majorly because of "you", while I was comparing offers and interview experiences with other organisations. "
The reason he gave was " After the interview, you come back to me, mentioning that the approach I suggested might actually work, of which you were a bit skeptical during the interview "
I did do some research on the solution he suggested and it did make sense, but it wasn't clear to me during the interview. He added,
"This helped me compare the culture of the organisation with others I had an offer from. "
This is one of the examples of how a candidate's experience, during the interview, might really affect their evaluation. So, keep shining and making candidate's comfortable and feel equal during the discussions.
