As a co-founder of Bia Warrior, Samia has been instrumental in developing initiatives that prioritize community needs and drive social progress. Previously, Samia co-founded the Dubai chapter of Ladies, Wine & Design, an organization dedicated to fostering a community among women in creative fields. This role showcased her dedication to empowering women and creating networks that celebrate creativity and collaboration.
In her earlier roles, Samia served as a Design Consultant and held the position of Co-founder and Design Director at Ultraviolet Studio LLC. Here, her design strategies contributed to a variety of projects that merged design with functional usability. Furthermore, her tenure as Creative Director at Brownbook saw her overseeing cultural engineering initiatives, where she leveraged her design expertise to enrich cultural narratives through visual storytelling.
Samia has also worked as a designer at Galewill and Quizative, where her contributions laid the foundation for successful design projects that engaged and inspired users across different platforms. Samia Kallidis's academic journey is marked by a commitment to understanding design as a multifaceted discipline that goes beyond aesthetics. She earned her Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Designer as Author & Entrepreneur from the esteemed School of Visual Arts, where she cultivated her expertise in combining design principles with entrepreneurial thinking.
Prior to her MFA, Samia completed her Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Design at York University, building a robust foundation in design theory. In addition, her secondary education at Emirates International School included an International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma, where she studied an exciting mix of subjects such as English Literature, Mathematics, Biology, Visual Art, Psychology, and Arabic. This diverse educational background has equipped Samia with critical thinking skills and a creative mindset, allowing her to approach problems from multiple angles and deliver innovative solutions in her work.
