Samuel Tia

Co-founder at Correlia Biosystems

Samuel Tia is a bioengineer with a strong leadership background in assay R&D and new product design/development. He has direct experience in working with customers to create and publish innovative biotechnology applications. Samuel also excels as a technical contributor and possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills. His diverse interdisciplinary knowledge enables him to effectively lead and manage research, product development, and manufacturing teams.

Samuel Tia completed his Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in 2012 at the University of California, Berkeley, following his Bachelor of Science (BS) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Florida.

Throughout his career, Samuel has been involved with various organizations, including being a Co-founder at Correlia Biosystems, Inc., an Instructional Faculty member at the Prison University Project, a Graduate Student Researcher at UC Berkeley, part of the Biotechnology Development Group at Regeneration Technologies, and contributing to Integrated Product and Process Development at Medtronic.
