Professional Background
Sandy Mattingly is a seasoned legal and real estate professional with a wealth of experience acquired over a multi-decade career marked by significant transitions and achievements. After an impactful early career in the legal arena, Sandy transitioned into the world of real estate, where he found his true passion. Stemming from a period of introspection and recovery, Sandy embraced the challenge of helping clients navigate the intricate market of Manhattan and Brooklyn real estate. From lofts to co-ops and condos, Sandy focused on assisting buyers and sellers to achieve their dreams amidst the complexities of financial and personal goals. This journey was not just about transactions but rather fostering lasting relationships based on trust, knowledge, and expertise.
Sandy's legal career began after he earned his Juris Doctor from New York University School of Law. Before delving into real estate, Sandy launched an independent private mediation practice and served in-house at major corporations such as American Express and AT&T. He also enjoyed partnerships at firms like Gaston Snow Beekman & Bogue and Kelley Drye & Warren, further solidifying his legal acumen and experience.

Highlights
I usually post a non-Manhattan lofts diversion on the weekends, but today I hit a $14.6mm penthouse loft in Flatiron in the news this week because of the sexcapades of its very famous owner. That gave me the opportunity to reprise a 2010 post (when this penthouse was in the news for being in a movie). Because the loft gods can be frivolous, the building has a history hosting a "swinger's club" in the go-go '80s. Full circle, indeed. Details:
