I'm back from a fantastic summer, spending time with my family and watching my sons play for the Hungarian National Baseball team in Europe—and, I have to tell you, seeing them compete at such a high level was a blast! This experience reminded me of the importance of having the right players in the right roles where it matters most: in sports and business.
Lately, this simple sports analogy has resonated strongly with the management teams I've worked with. They understand the concept of a scoreboard and a clock and the high cost of not having the right people in the right roles in the game.
