Sanette Sloan is a seasoned UX designer at Google, where she is dedicated to enhancing news and storytelling experiences on Google Search.

With her previous role as a senior product designer at Vox Media, Sanette focused on elevating storytelling tools and optimizing user experiences for Chorus, the platform behind 350+ websites including Vox, SB Nation, The Verge, and Eater.

Before transitioning into design, Sanette started her career as a journalist, covering a wide range of subjects such as real estate, fitness, food, lifestyle trends, and consumer goods. Her journalism background includes a role as a staff reporter specializing in luxury real estate at The Wall Street Journal.

Sanette's educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Public Policy & History with a Policy Journalism certificate from Duke University, and a Master of Science (MSc) in Creative Digital Media with a concentration in Interaction Design from Dublin Institute of Technology.

Currently residing in New York City, Sanette has held various roles such as Interaction Designer at Google, Design Mentor at Designlab, Interaction Designer for Google Workspace, Senior Product Designer at Vox Media, UX Design Apprentice at Viget, and Staff Reporter at The Wall Street Journal.
