Sania Khan is a seasoned civil rights attorney with over ten years of experience specializing in enforcement, outreach, and policymaking at the New York State Attorney General's Office (NYAG).

She has been involved in high-profile cases such as the multi-state challenges to the citizenship question on the Census, the DACA program termination, and the Muslim Bans, as part of the trial team at NYAG.

Apart from her legal work, Sania leads a technology and civil rights initiative at NYAG, where she investigates and litigates cases, drafts legislative and policy recommendations, and collaborates with various stakeholders.

Her expertise extends to enforcement in diverse areas including housing, education, employment, and criminal justice.

Outside of her professional commitments, Sania serves as the President of the Muslim Bar Association of New York from 2020 to 2022.

Her educational background includes a J.D. in Law from the University of Miami School of Law and a B.A. in International Relations, Political Science, and Middle Eastern Studies from Syracuse University - Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs.

Throughout her career, Sania has held key positions at the NYAG, including Assistant Attorney General in the Civil Rights Bureau, and previously in the Litigation Bureau and the Appeals & Opinions Bureau.
