The situation in Ga.za is not a mere geopolitical crisis—it's a humanitarian catastrophe fueled by long-standing injustices. I'm writing this message to my own personal network, mainly made up of educators, DEI and HR professionals, the silence you maintain is deafening to the ears of your Muslim and Arab coworkers, clients, friends. We...YOU...cannot turn a blind eye to the reality that generations of Pal-es-tin-ians have endured displacement, discrimination, and violence as a result of systemic colonialism and occupation and, at the same time make claims to want to "create a better workplace" or "fight for equity"

I'm not a big social media person myself, I know that actions can take many forms and asking each of us to use this platform to condemn genocide is (sadly) more than what I should hope for. But, each of us holds a responsibility to stand against injustice and advocate for change. So here are a few simple actions we can take to support a ceasefire and contribute to a just resolution, with or without social media...don't let this moment pass without having taken any action, your heart and humanity may never recover.

Amplify Voices: Use our platforms to amplify the voices of Pal-estinians. Share their stories, insights, and calls for justice to raise awareness and foster empathy.

Call for a Ceasefire NOW: Engage with your local representatives, governmental bodies, and international organizations to demand immediate action towards a lasting ceasefire that respects the rights of Pal-estinians.

Support Humanitarian Aid: Contribute to reputable humanitarian organizations providing crucial aid and support to Pal-estinians affected by the conflict. Every contribution, no matter the size, can make a difference.

Reach out to your Muslim and Arab Coworkers: Ignoring their pain, not checking-in, thinking you can be 'neutral' or that this is too 'complex' to speak about only shows you haven't refined your own understanding of equity and justice - we see you.
