Sara Gelston

Sara Gelston is a seasoned educator and writer with a diverse academic background.

She holds a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing, Poetry from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, complemented by a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from the University of Maine. Additionally, she pursued studies in Publishing at Oxford Brookes University.

Throughout her career, Sara has held various roles in academia and publishing. She currently serves as an Instructor at Butler University and has previously worked as the Assistant Director of College of Arts & Sciences Advising at The University of North Carolina at Greensboro (UNCG) and as a Lecturer in the English Department at UNCG.

Her experience also includes positions such as Writing Fellow at Fine Arts Work Center, Writing Fellow/Assistant Faculty at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Assistant Poetry Editor at Ninth Letter, Instructor at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Publications Manager at Boston University School of Law, and Intern/Editor at Beloit Poetry Journal.
